La Volte cirque
La Volte is a circus company that was created in 2018 by Matthieu Gary and Sidney Pin. In 2016, in collaboration with Collectif Porte27 they produced the show Chute! which has been touring since. Following that, the two associates moved to Nantes in order to investigate the art of acrobatics through the production of shows/lectures, performance art as well as the organisation of workshops, for non-professional audiences in particular.

Halfway between a swinging trapeze and a Russian swing, la Balançoire Géante features an acrobat attempting a revolution, not without some difficulty, on a 12 meter high swinging apparatus. A mix of a circus performance, a workshop on aerial acrobatics and a therapy session, the creative process is ongoing.
Through a psycho-socio-political self-analysis, our athlete challenges his motivation to train day and night to perform a silly and useless action in order to become the Balançoire Géante world champion.
The show is about performing, virilism, analyzing his condition as an acrobat, telling about Kiiking, Emmanuel Macron, Tina Turner and Richard Wagner.
