training
Since 2017, we have organised training sessions lasting two to five days to deal with the aspects of production and touring management. While meeting the needs of emerging artists, our interactive teaching programmes have proven to be a real help for those willing to promote an artistic project as they are designed in connection with various professionals involved in the field of performing arts (schools, training centres, circus venues).
We have recently adapted a programme in the form of a tutorage involving regular meetings and one single artistic team.
PROFESSIONAL EVENT
Co-organised with art consulting organisation Curios, our festival Les Avant Curieux emanates from the necessity to generate public visibility for the artists and art forms we promote, at a local level, namely the Nantes area.
Taking place every even-year in collaboration with our partners, the format of Les Avant Curieux is suffused by the distinctive style of both our organisations, the programme being based on our « own » productions and our favorites, towards professionals and general audience. This year, the festival will consist in a one-day professional event involving the presentation of future productions “on the table”, work-in-progress and experimental productions. This is the opportunity for us to make regional artists more visible to venue programmers indeed.
The festival 2022 will take place on October 6 at ONYX – Théâtre de Saint- Herblain (near Nantes, France) .

LOCAL ROOTS
L’Avant Courrier wishes to take an active part in the performing arts ecosystem, in particular locally. Therefore, we are involved in several communities, working groups and organisations.
La nantaise de la diffusion

The PANA – or C.R.I
Working group led by the City of Nantes which aims at the creation of a production venue for circus and street arts including a regular training centre.
The SCC
L’Avant Courrier is also the regional delegate of Syndicat des Cirques et Compagnies de Création (the French federation of contemporary circus companies) in the Pays de la Loire region. Our organisation has been a member of the federation from the beginning.
